The Foundation aims to make a difference in the life of the underprivileged.
"It has been an absolute honour for me to be a part of Hinduja family through this initiative. I would like to contribute in all possible ways to the budding Scholars. As Freddy Martis said at the end of my visit, "You can come anytime here, it is your home. That is why we call it Hinduja House." This sums up the warmth of the relationship between the Foundation and Hinduja Scholars."
- Sumit Rana, Hinduja Scholar DHMMS 2001-2006
"Hinduja Foundation conducted a meeting with us where they advised me to take up jasmine cultivation, which is a good source of income. They showed me how to sow the seedlings, at what distance the plants need to be from each other. I'm getting a yield of 1-1.5 kg flowers per day. It fetches me Rs. 400 - 500 on a daily basis at the current price. Now I get to stay in the village with my parents. I am able to look after them. I am earning a decent living from jasmine cultivation. So I don't need to migrate to the city for work. Only when I have to buy new clothes or watch a movie, will I go to the city."
- Prabhakar, Kharonda Village, Jawhar
"Just like how 5 fingers of a hand combine together to make a strong fist, all of us came together to work as a group and this gave us more strength. As we started earning more money, we were able to send our children to school, afford clothes and uniforms for them. Now the kids are very happy. Seeing them go to school makes us happy as well."
- Prakash, Pimpalshet village, Jawhar
"This journey started back in 2006 when I completed my tenth standard and got selected to become a Hinduja scholar. It's 2015 now, and I wish that this 9 year association keeps continuing forever. This scholarship from Hinduja Foundation has always proved to be a huge motivation and support for me. It is one of the big reasons for me to keep striving for excellence and improve constantly. I strongly believe that the support and guidance that I've got from Hinduja Foundation has played a key role in making me the person I am today. You've also helped me build such a strong sensitivity towards helping society. No words can be enough to express my gratitude towards the difference that the Hinduja family has brought in my life!"
- Ankita Bhatia, DHMM Scholar
"I am so delighted that I am getting work within my village now. I am grateful to Hinduja Foundation for helping people like us and I hope they continue doing this in the future."
- Jivya, Kharonda village, Jawhar
"The mobile medical van (MMU) has a doctor and a nurse. They are stocked with medical supplies and blood testing equipment. Due to this, we are spared of high medical expenses and it saves our time as well."
